List Of Tales Of Symphonia Characters
Tales of Symphonia is a Japanese role-playing game released for the Nintendo GameCube on August 29, 2003 in Japan and was localized in English in 2004. Its sequel, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, was released on the Wii in 2008. The characters in both games were designed by KÅsuke Fujishima.
The story follows Lloyd Irving, a young man residing in a world known as Sylvarant. His childhood friend, Colette Brunel, is tasked by the goddess to journey around the world in order to save it. Colette leaves, protected by Kratos Aurion and Raine Sage, without telling Lloyd; though Lloyd and Genis Sage, is able to reunite with them afterwards. On their journey, they meet Sheena Fujibayashi who comes from Tethe'alla, a world parallel to Sylvarant. The party learn that Colette's journey will reverse the flow of mana, a necessary energy of life, from Tethe'alla to Sylvarant. The party discover that their religion and mana system were created by Cruxis and begin searching for a way to save both worlds. Their journey brings them to Tethe'alla where Zelos Wilder, Presea Combatir, and Regal Bryant joins their cause. Eventually, the party realize Mithos Yggdrasill is preventing the Great Seed, the supplier of mana, from growing into a Giant Kharlan Tree. Also realizing that Sylvarant and Tethe'alla use to be one but was split by Mithos, the party seeks to reunite the two worlds and to germinate the Great Seed.
The sequel, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World takes place two years after the reunification Sylvarant and Tethe'alla which caused extreme climate change. It follows Emil Castagnier and Marta Lualdi as they journey to awaken the deity known as Ratatosk to solve the world's climate problem.
