  • Call Me Kelly 1970s (1977) South African produced show about country living. Of note Bobby Angel was approached to write a theme song, together with Hennie Bekker, for a new TV series entitled Call Me Kelly. His subsequent recording of Kelly's Song was so popular that Teal decided to release the track on a single. It reached #13 on Springbok's Top 20 in December 1977 and spent 7 weeks on the charts
  • Cagney & Lacey 1980s (1982–1986) was an American television series shown in South Africa with Tyne Daly, Sharon Gless as two female police detectives. Actors of note Tyne Daly and Sharon Gless
  • Cannon (TV series) 1970s (1971–1976) was a detective series, shown in South Africa. It starred William Conrad as the overweight detective Frank Cannon, who had resigned from the LAPD and become a private detective. He charged high fees to his well-to-do clients so that he could work for poorer clients at little or no charge. Actor of note William Conrad

  • Captains and the Kings 1970s (1976) Joseph Armagh was a poor Irish immigrant who came to the United States in the mid-19th century, and proceeded, through struggle, heartache and hard work, to become one of the richest and most powerful men in the country a nine-part miniseries.   • Catch Kandy (1970s) - Australian children's program involving an orphaned boy Catch Kandy and his sister Kate Kandy who spend the entire series hiding from their malevolent uncle.
  • Charlie Jade (2004–2005) a science fiction television program filmed mainly in Cape Town, South Africa. It stars Jeffrey Pierce in the title role, as a detective from a parallel universe who finds himself trapped in our universe.
  • Charlie's Angels 1970s (1976–1981) Charlie's Angels was an American television series about three women who work for a private investigation agency, and is one of the first shows to showcase women in roles traditionally reserved for men. The series was broadcast in South Africa. Charlie's Angels was created by Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts and produced by Aaron Spelling and Leonard Goldberg.   • Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers 1990s (1989–1993) Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers shown in South Africa was an American animated series produced by Walt Disney Television Animation. Created by Tad Stones and Alan Zaslove, it featured the established Disney characters Chip 'n Dale in a new setting.
  • Casimir (dinosaur) 1970s (1972–1982) children's character dubbed from French TV show l'Île aux enfants Casimir Shown in South Africa
  • Chapi Chapo 1970s (1974) Shown in South Africa Chapi Chapo was a French short stop-motion series. Created by Italo Bettiol and Stephano Lonati, with music by François de Roubaix, it premiered in 1974 on the ORTF and ran for 60 5-minute episodes. Two characters with round hats
  • Cheers 1980s (1982–1993) Cheers was an American situation comedy series, shown in South Africa, that ran for eleven seasons. Actors of note Ted Danson, Kelsey Grammer and Woody Harrelson
  • CHiPs 1970s (1977–1983) CHiPs is an American television drama series produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios shown in South Africa, CHiPs followed the lives of two motorcycle police officers of the California Highway Patrol. The series ran for 139 episodes over six seasons
  • Clangers - Dubbed. Unsure what the show was called in Afrikaans, possibly part of a show called "Beertjie Boot".
  • Crime Story (TV series) 1980s (1986–1988) Shown on South Africa television, Set in the early pre-Beatles 1960s, the series pitted two men against each other — Lt. Mike Torello (Dennis Farina) and mobster Ray Luca, (Anthony Denison) — in an obsessive drive to destroy each other. As Luca moved from street crime in Chicago, was "made" in the Chicago Outfit and was sent to Las Vegas to monitor their casinos, Det. Mike Torello followed Luca, as part of a special Organized Crime Strike Force. Actors of note Dennis Farina and Anthony Denison

  • Columbo (TV series) 1970s (1971–1978) Columbo is an American crime fiction TV series, Shown in South Africa, starring Peter Falk as Lieutenant Columbo, a homicide detective with the Los Angeles Police Department. The show popularized the inverted detective story format; almost every episode began by showing the commission of the crime and its perpetrator. Actor of note Peter Falk
