Famous quotes containing the words boundary, commission and/or proposals:
“Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom. If you dont live it, it wont come out of your horn. They teach you theres a boundary line to music. But, man, theres no boundary line to art.”
—Charlie Parker (19201955)
“Children cannot eat rhetoric and they cannot be sheltered by commissions. I dont want to see another commission that studies the needs of kids. We need to help them.”
—Marian Wright Edelman (b. 1939)
“One theme links together these new proposals for family policythe idea that the family is exceedingly durable. Changes in structure and function and individual roles are not to be confused with the collapse of the family. Families remain more important in the lives of children than other institutions. Family ties are stronger and more vital than many of us imagine in the perennial atmosphere of crisis surrounding the subject.”
—Joseph Featherstone (20th century)
