Post-Amalgamation Mayors
As of 1998, Metropolitan Toronto and all its municipalities were amalgamated into a single City of Toronto. The mayors of the unified city have been:
- 62. January 1, 1998 – November 30, 2003 Mel Lastman
- 63. December 1, 2003 – November 30, 2010 David Miller
- 64. December 1, 2010 – December 6, 2012 Rob Ford

- On November 26, 2012, Ontario Court found Ford guilty of conflict of interest and ordered Ford to vacate the seat on Council by December 6, 2012. Ford will be able to appeal and allowed to run for mayor in the future.
