- Eastern Pipistrelle Pipistrellus subflavus (Statewide) - Hibernates throughout winter. Comes out during night.
- Big Brown Bat Episticus fuscus (Statewide) - Found in caves. Come out at night to feed. Also hibernate in winter.
- Eastern Red Bat Lasiurus borealis (Migratory) - Comes here during late spring and summer. may occur throughout the state.
- Hoary Bat Lasiurus cinereus (Migratory) - Rarely seen. Doesn't hibernate in winter, but moves south.
- Eastern small-footed myotis Myotis leibii (SC) (Berkshire and Hampden counties) - Rarely seen. Only a few records in Berkshire, and Hampden counties. One of the smallest bats in the Eastern USA. Now, reports are extremely rare, and is listed as Special Concern.
- Little Brown Bat Myotis lucifugus (Statewide) - Like the big brown bat, it hibernates in winter. One of the most common bats in Massachusetts.
- Northern long-eared myotis Myotis septentrionalis (Probably Statewide) - Also hibernates in winter. Almost found all over the state. Distinguishable with its long ears.
- Indiana bat Myotis sodalis (A) (SC) (Probably extirpated) - Rarely seen. Last known record in 1939. A few were reintroduced in Western Mass. Now Endangered. Reported from Berkshire, Hampden, and Worcester counties.
- Silver-haired Bat Lasionycteris noctivagans (Migratory) - Occurs in summer. May be found all over the state. One of the few North American bats with rabies.
