Famous quotes containing the words world and/or sparrows:

Were civilization itself to be measured by some of its results, it would seem perhaps better for what we call the barbarous part of the world to remain unchanged.
    Herman Melville (1819–1891)

And now the sparrows warring in the eaves,
The curd-pale moon, the white stars in the sky,
And the loud chaunting of the unquiet leaves,
Are shaken with earth’s old and weary cry.
    William Butler Yeats (1865–1939)
