Antbirds are a family of Passerines found from Argentina north to Mexico. There is a great variety of Antbirds, with Antbirds, Antwrens, and Antshrikes. Antshrikes are small, often handsomely marked birds. There is only one species of Antbird recorded in the United States; an audio recording of a Barred Antshrike from Harlingen, Texas in September, 2006.
