List Of Asturian Monarchs
This is a list of the rulers of the Kingdom of Asturias. During the reign of Ordoño I, the kingdom of Asturias progressively came to be known as the Kingdom of León. The kingdom was split in 910 and Fruela received the Asturias. For later kings, see the list of Leonese monarchs and the list of Galician monarchs.

Famous quotes containing the words list of, list and/or monarchs:
“Feminism is an entire world view or gestalt, not just a laundry list of womens issues.”
—Charlotte Bunch (b. 1944)
“Sheathey call him Scholar Jack
Went down the list of the dead.
Officers, seamen, gunners, marines,
The crews of the gig and yawl,
The bearded man and the lad in his teens,
Carpenters, coal-passersall.”
—Joseph I. C. Clarke (18461925)
“There was about all the Romans a heroic tone peculiar to ancient life. Their virtues were great and noble, and these virtues made them great and noble. They possessed a natural majesty that was not put on and taken off at pleasure, as was that of certain eastern monarchs when they put on or took off their garments of Tyrian dye. It is hoped that this is not wholly lost from the world, although the sense of earthly vanity inculcated by Christianity may have swallowed it up in humility.”
—Herman Melville (18191891)
