Dano was born Linda Rae Wildermuth in Long Beach, California to parents Evelyn and Ted Wildermuth. Dano was married to advertising executive Frank Attardi for over 20 years until his death in 2004. She has two stepchildren, and three step grandchildren, Jenna, Hannah, and Abigail.
