Current Information
Licensed Victuallers' School is set in 30 acres (120,000 m2) of land within Ascot in the county of Royal Berkshire, on the site formerly occupied by Heatherdown Preparatory School. The school is owned by the Licensed Trade Charity and has been since 1972. The Queen is the patron of the school. The school has 3 day houses, Whitbread, Bell's and Courage, and 4 boarding houses, Bass, Carlsberg, Guinness and Gilbey. The school is co-educational and currently has 900 pupils aged 4–18, whilst also providing boarding facilities for some 200 pupils. Although an independent private school, LVS is non-selective. The school contains a 25 metre indoor swimming pool, theatre with hi-tech lighting, a recording studio, sports facilities including 4 tennis courts, a gym and a rock climbing wall. In 2004, the Learning Resource Centre was opened, extending the sixth form centre and the library.
The School's current Headmistress is Christine Cunniffe and the Director of Education is Ian Mullins.
