Famous quotes containing the word visit:
“There’s no nation under the sun can beat the English for ill-politeness: for my part, I hate the very sight of them; and so I shall only just visit a person of quality or two of my particular acquaintance, and then I shall go back again to France.”
—Frances Burney (1752–1840)
“Nowhere is one more alone than in Paris ... and yet surrounded by crowds. Nowhere is one more likely to incur greater ridicule. And no visit is more essential.”
—Marguerite Duras (b. 1914)
“Conscience is a mother-in-law whose visit never ends.”
—H.L. (Henry Lewis)
