Liaoning Dinosaurs
Liaoning Jaguars (辽宁捷豹) is a professional basketball team in the North Division of the Chinese Basketball Association, based in Benxi, Liaoning.
The team used "Hunters" as their nickname before, but it changed their nickname in the 2008–09 season. Its corporate sponsor is presumably Liaoning Panpan Group Co., Ltd. (辽宁盼盼集团有限公司), a manufacturer of theft-proof doors.
In the 2004–2005 season, the Liaoning Hunters finished in first place in the North Division, but lost in the quarter-finals to the South Division's Yunnan Bulls. Liaoning would then go on to finish 7th and 4th respectively during the next two seasons, before re-entering the finals of the 07-08 CBA Playoffs. Although they would eventually lose to the Guangdong Southern Tigers, they managed to win the 4th game of the series. This was the club's first victory in the CBA Finals, despite numerous appearances. However, after finishing 5th in the 2009–10 CBA season, they would miss both the 10-11 and the 11-12 CBA playoffs.
