Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 29.8 square miles (77 km2), of which 28.9 square miles (75 km2) is land and 0.9 square miles (2.3 km2), or 2.96%, is water.
Leominster lies on a plateau bordered on the north and west by hills. The southern part of the city is relatively flat, with the Nashua River running through the plateau's eastern portion.
