Lemp Mansion - in Popular Culture

In Popular Culture

MTV featured the tunnels below Lemp Mansion and the former Lemp Brewery as a location on their short-lived reality show, FEAR, disguising it as "The Boettger Brewery".

In 2011, the caves below the mansion and brewery were featured on the show Off Limits, when locations in St. Louis were highlighted (episode 1.11). Exterior shots of the Lemp Mansion were shown.

In 2010 the mansion was investigated by The Atlantic Paranormal Society, which was featured on the September 29 episode of Ghost Hunters.

In 2009, the mansion was investigated by the Discovery Channel program Ghost Lab during its December 29 episode entitled "If Walls Could Talk".

Famous quotes containing the words popular culture, popular and/or culture:

Popular culture entered my life as Shirley Temple, who was exactly my age and wrote a letter in the newspapers telling how her mother fixed spinach for her, with lots of butter.... I was impressed by Shirley Temple as a little girl my age who had power: she could write a piece for the newspapers and have it printed in her own handwriting.
    Adrienne Rich (b. 1929)

Vodka is our enemy, so let’s finish it off.
—Russian saying popular in the Soviet period, trans. by Vladimir Ivanovich Shlyakov (1993)

No race has the last word on culture and on civilization. You do not know what the black man is capable of; you do not know what he is thinking and therefore you do not know what the oppressed and suppressed Negro, by virtue of his condition and circumstance, may give to the world as a surprise.
    Marcus Garvey (1887–1940)
