The aim of Leap is to make access to education and skills as local as possible in response to the largely rural nature of the county, as well as providing access to a range of education options for people who want to pursue learning from basic literacy to higher education.

Leap aims to deliver support to the community in order to assist in raising aspirations and to address the barriers to education and employment.

Famous quotes containing the word aims:

In our large cities, the population is godless, materialized,—no bond, no fellow-feeling, no enthusiasm. These are not men, but hungers, thirsts, fevers, and appetites walking. How is it people manage to live on,—so aimless as they are? After their peppercorn aims are gained, it seems as if the lime in their bones alone held them together, and not any worthy purpose.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

We are often reminded that if there were bestowed on us the wealth of Crsus, our aims must still be the same, and our means essentially the same.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

Whoever aims publicly at great things and at length perceives secretly that he is too weak to achieve them, has usually also insufficient strength to renounce his aims publicly, and then inevitably becomes a hypocrite.
    Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900)
