Saint-Exupéry's novella has been adapted to various media over the decades. Additionally, The Little Prince character, himself, has been adapted to a number of roles, including:

• As a symbol of environmental protection by the Toshiba Group.
• As a "virtual ambassador" in a campaign against smoking, employed by the Veolia Energy Services Group.
• As a character in an episode of Lost
• The video game Super Mario Galaxy has many similarities to the descriptions and pictures from the original book.
