Landon Carter

Landon Carter (August 1710 – December 22, 1778) was a planter from Virginia, best known for his account of colonial life leading up the American War of Independence, The Diary of Colonel Landon Carter. A loyal British subject, the diary shows his gradual conversion to the cause for independence, becoming what some historians call, "the reluctant rebel".
