History
Lakeview was built in 1975. Originally, Lakeview had one main library with most of its classrooms connected to it without any doorways separating any of the rooms. It also had a wing of band and art rooms, and a gymnasium connected to the library as well. During the 2002 remodel of Lakeview, walls were added, as well as a second gymnasium and updated, larger science labs. During the summer of 2005, Lakeview went through a remodeling, in which a second gymnasium was added, and a new science wing was added to the building to enlargen lab space.

Famous quotes containing the word history:
“I am ashamed to see what a shallow village tale our so-called History is. How many times must we say Rome, and Paris, and Constantinople! What does Rome know of rat and lizard? What are Olympiads and Consulates to these neighboring systems of being? Nay, what food or experience or succor have they for the Esquimaux seal-hunter, or the Kanaka in his canoe, for the fisherman, the stevedore, the porter?”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“A poets object is not to tell what actually happened but what could or would happen either probably or inevitably.... For this reason poetry is something more scientific and serious than history, because poetry tends to give general truths while history gives particular facts.”
—Aristotle (384323 B.C.)
“All history and art are against us, but we still expect happiness in love.”
—Mason Cooley (b. 1927)
