Lajpat Nagar is home to a large Punjabi community, as seen in Hindi films like Do Dooni Chaar (2010) and Vicky Donor (2012), which are set in the locality. Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (2008) was also captured in the streets of Lajpat Nagar. Even in the recently released Cocktail(2012), Saif's mother(played by Dimple Kapadia) is from Lajpat Nagar.
