Local Festivities
- January 24: Alasita is a yearly fair where people usually buy miniature goods and groceries and praise the Ekeko, the andean god of abundance, in order to attract good luck for the rest of the year. Its name is the Aimaran word for "buy what I am selling". The fair begins every January 24 and lasts for approximately three weeks.
