Kwame R. Brown (born October 13, 1970, Washington, D.C.) is an American politician in Washington, D.C., who was an at-large member of the council from 2005 to 2011 and chairman of the Council of the District of Columbia from 2011 until his resignation in June 2012. He was the second councilman to resign in the face of federal charges in 2012.
