Theme Song
Roughly translated from Japanese, the lyrics to the show's theme song are:
Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!
I want everything
Gimme Gimme Octopus
Up from the ocean
I got hot and sunburned
Why must I live at the top of the tree
Viewing all my desires through a telescope... I want the stars!
Gimme Gimme Octopus

Famous quotes containing the words theme and/or song:
“This is certainly not the place for a discourse about what festivals are for. Discussions on this theme were plentiful during that phase of preparation and on the whole were fruitless. My experience is that discussion is fruitless. What sets forth and demonstrates is the sight of events in action, is living through these events and understanding them.”
—Doris Lessing (b. 1919)
“I shall not sing a May song.
A May song should be gay.
I’ll wait until November
And sing a song of gray.”
—Gwendolyn Brooks (b. 1917)
