The Kundi are Pashtun origin tribe of Pakistan. They are the major tribe of District Tank, D.I.Khan and Mianwali. Kundis populate majority of Tank District of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, some parts of Afghanistan(Zabul)(Abdul Aziz Kundi is the Chief of Kundi Tribe in Zabul Province of Afghanistan), Khost Balochistan and Kundian in Mianwali District of Punjab Pakistan. A good number of Kundis have rendered their services in field of education, politics, civil services, judiciary research etc. in Pakistan and abroad.
