2011 Hisar By-Election
Kuldeep contested and won Hisar 2011 Lok Sabha by-election (The seat which fell vacant because of death of his father, Bhajan Lal) defeating Ajay Singh Chautala, an Indian National Lok Dal candidate. Kuldeep was backed by Team Anna or rather Team Anna campaigned against Ajay Chautala.
