Kuchi People
Kuchis (from the Persian word: کوچ koch; meaning "migration") are Afghan Pashtun nomads, primarily from the Ghilzai tribal confederacy. Some of the most notable Ghilzai Kuchi tribes include the Kharoti, Andar and Ahmadzai. Sometimes Durrani tribes can be found among the Kuchi, and occasionally there may also be some Baloch people among them that live a pastoral nomadic lifestyle. In the local native Pashto language, the terms are Kochai (singular) and Kuchiyan (plural).

Famous quotes containing the word people:
“My children have taught me things. Things I thought I knew. The most profound wisdom they have given me is a respect for human vulnerability. I have known that people are resilient, but I didnt appreciate how fragile they are. Until children learn to hide their feelings, you read them in their faces, gestures, and postures. The sheer visibility of shyness, pain, and rejection let me recognize and remember them.”
—Shirley Nelson Garner (20th century)
