Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D - Other Problems

Other Problems

The 7D, in addition to having become a collector's camera, and despite what is now a low megapixel number, is known for taking beautiful photographs, what users of the camera call "those Minolta colors". The camera is loved for its manual controls. It did have one problem which appeared to afflict all of the 7Ds at one point in their working lives, development of "first frame black" in which after a period of not being used, the first frame turned up dark. SONY for a while fixed this problem, and so did some private camera shops, but that is pretty much over at this point. However FFB First Frame Blank or Black is often a simple process of turning off and back on, though it can lead to blank frames all the time. More of a problem is missalignment of the sensor, where the sensor is stuck at one of the positions it can take up to counteract camera shake or it fails completely and there is a chugging sound and no picture can be taken. Repairs for this are prohibitive.

Famous quotes containing the word problems:

Men decide far more problems by hate, love, lust, rage, sorrow, joy, hope, fear, illusion, or some other inward emotion than by reality, authority, any legal standard, judicial precedent, or statute.
    Marcus Tullius Cicero (106–43 B.C.)

If family communication is good, parents can pick up the signs of stress in children and talk about it before it results in some crisis. If family communication is bad, not only will parents be insensitive to potential crises, but the poor communication will contribute to problems in the family.
    Donald C. Medeiros (20th century)
