Construction
The Kochi Metro connecting Aluva-Petta will be completed in three stages and separate tenders will be awarded through bids. Each stage will be approximately 8 km. The advantage of this approach is that different contractors can take part in the work. KMRL decided to set up parking space at all metro stations based on the request from civil Society organisations.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh laid the foundation stone for the project on 13 September 2012.
