Kocchi Muite! Miiko is a Japanese ongoing Sports Manga series taking place in Tokyo, created by Illustrator Eriko Ono (Later Tatsuya Kijima). This is the first series of Miiko Yamada TV Series. USA and Australia promoted it as Miiko Yamada: TV Collection. The manga series tells a one by one episode of Miiko and Friends. The anime is starred by Miiko Yamada and Tappei Eguchi. It was adapted as a 240 episode anime television series by Toei Animation, which was broadcast on TV Asahi from February 14, 1995 to present, as part of the Anime Syuukan DX! Mi-Pha-Pu anime series. This anime is also a sports manga, NOT a shojo manga, because the anime has a genre for children, comedy, auto racing, and an adventure film. A bunch of children thinks that Miiko is a magical girl, after they watch Kocchi Muite! Miiko Film, but Miiko and Tappei drive a science modified car along the way. And Miiko fights the thugs like action fighter and does Martial Arts.

Characters 1. Miiko Yamada (Herself in TV and Aki Toyosaki (Voice) in the anime) is a fifth grader girl, the main character, a Race Tin rider. Her height is 145 cm, shorter 10 cm than Tappei. Miiko is very diligent, cheerful, and loves to play with her boyfriend Tappei Eguchi. Sometimes, Miiko can get angered to Takashi (Her older Brother, 150 cm, Younger than Tappei) when something bad happens. She takes advantage in Suginoki Full School. Her Race Tin car is “Red Star”. She bravely takes challenges which she easily completes. Her games are not for Fun, but for the real competitions. She dominates perfect at all studying.

2. Tappei Eguchi (Himself in TV and Yukiko Tamaki (Voice) in the anime) is Miiko’s boyfriend, a high school student. His height is 155 cm but later 180 cm. He is the oldest student. He is best friends Kenta Satou and Tatsuya Yoshida. He hates Miho Tanimura. He attends to Parent Miiko for childish things. His Race Tin car is “Black Dragon”. He was shy to say that he loves Miiko that makes them both to nerves.

3. Mari Shimura / Mari-Chan (Rie Kugimiya in the anime) is Miiko’s friend. She wants to be an illustrator. She never gives up even she needs to stay in class C. Her boyfriend is Yoshida. Her car is “Fly High”.

4. Tatsuya Yoshida (Akiko Yajima) is Mari’s boyfriend. He helps Tappei to end up with Miiko, even sometimes he loves Miiko, only as a friend. His Race Tin car is “Drive Wind”.

5. Yuuko “Yukko” Ogawa (Emiri Kato) is Miiko’s friend. She loves to cook, and is good at crafting. She mainly takes challenge who is the best of Stunt, but not as good as Miiko. Her boyfriend is Kenta Satou. She Race Tin car is the “White Ribbon”. In a segment when Yukko steals from a college student, her leg was shot by the gun from the police officers and was beaten by the college kid and his bros. This caused track block, that suddenly knocks Yoshida and falls until other players get impacted and said the 7 dirty words, but Yukko is helped by Kenta, who receives his phone from that guy and is knocked out, which causes 2 players to survive.

6. Kenta Satou (Daisuke Kishio) is Yukko’s boyfriend. He is proud, extreme, and makes everything awesome. He is really good at stunt, better than Yukko. Older 3 years. In Race Tin, his car is “Devil’s Acceleration”. He gets angry when he or his car gets attacked.

7. Yoshiki Nomura, Miiko’s classmate. His girlfriend is Miho Tanimura, who fights Tappei. He wants to be a movie Director. His car in Race Tin is “Flash-Venus”.

8. Miiho Tanimura is Miiko’s classmate, Yoshiki’s girlfriend. She wants to be a feminine model, almost as feminine as Miiko. While she tries to get to Tappei, he never has a feeling to Miho. Her Race Tin car is the “Flying Shuttle”.

Miiko’s Family

1. Ryusuke Yamada is Miiko’s father (Kousuke in the TV Series and Anime). He loves Miiko more than Takashi. He works as a Gran Turismo circuit racer.

2. Yasuko Yamada is Miiko’s mother (Rie in the TV Series and Anime) She loves Takashi but Loves Miiko even more. She works as the comic editor of 2 comics (Fast-R in English Dub) (Ocha in the Anime), and also a Touge Drift racer.

3. Takashi Yamada is Miiko’s first brother. He is younger 1 month. He acts adult, different to Miiko. He loves street racing. His manga name is Mamoru but in TV he is Takashi.

4. Morimoto Yamada (Male in English Dub) (Female in the manga and known as Momo) is Miiko’s second brother. He is obsessed to the vehicle Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. His Race Tin Car is “Flamed Infinity” While Momo, is Miiko’s female baby sister, cute and sweet in the Manga Series.

5. Tsubasa Yamada is Miiko’s third brother. He races along tremendous race tracks in Race Tin. His car is “Deadly Skull”.

6. Kenji Yamada, Miiko’s last brother, who goes on windy tracks in race tin. His car is “Samurai Gold”.

Tappei’s Family

1. Ryuuhei: Tappei’s father, who attempt to divorce but abandoned.

2. Makiko: Tappei’s mother, owner of an accessories shop Lazy Moon.

3. Morimoto: Tappei’s mid brother, crazy to the vehicle Subaru Impreza WRX STi, a friendship of the EVO. His Race Tin car is the Sonic Boom Blaster.

4. Matsudaira: Tappei’s second young brother, crazy to skateboarding and roller skating. His Race Tin Car is Super-Sonic Fire.

Other characters (Race Tin riders)

1. Morimoto Nozomi = Miiko’s best friend, when she has a disease, she retires, but is later cured. She wants to be Mari’s comic assistant. “Sidewinder” is her Race Tin car.

2. Kurumi (Morimoto) Hamamoto = a 1st grader child. She befriends with Miiko, who helped her at New Racer Ceremony, which she gains friends and they recruit a gang named “EastSiders”. She escaped from explosion in X-Treme Race. Her Race Tin car is “FD Star 3”.

3. Yasuko Takahashi "Yakko" = Miiko’s friend, called Yatchan (Not to be confused with Wangan Midnight’s Gatchan). Her Race Tin car is the “Dark Revolu-Mobile”.

4. Akane Tatsuya = Miiko’s soul mate, appeared in Volume 19 and 22. Her car is “Action Jet”

5. Matsumoto Kaoru = Miiko’s friend, having trouble with her size, but has been solved. Her Race Tin car is the “Silver hawk”. She leaves the series in the Film.

Other characters (non racing players)

1. Yuka Kobayashi = Takashi’s girlfriend. She was very nice and sensitive, like in Miiko’s 12th volume, where she gets angry while seeing Takashi wearing a sweater from another girl.

2. Oonishi Sensei = Miiko’s teacher. He loves ceramic arts.

3. Uranai = Miiko’s friend, works as a fortune teller. She was not good at running, with the help of Miiko, she can win.

4. Izawa = Some of Miiko’s friend. She has a rivalry to Yoshiki.

5. Aoyama = Miiko’s friend, moved to USA, arrested by Weasel, revealed in Miiko Yamada Evolution but has escaped at the epilogue, shown again in Miiko Yamada Underground.

6. Sasuke Watanabe = Miiko’s classmate, loves teasing.

7. Masanori Ryoshi = Same as Watanabe.

8. Nakazawa Takuto = Miiko’s friend, who loves Mari’s comics.

9. Takaaki Ootomo = a 6th grader athlete, good at running, but lazy.

10. Shouma Takashi = 2nd grader of Suginoki Elementary. He leaves in the Film.

Rivals and opponents (Race Tin Riders)

1. Ryoko Asakura = a racer of the Race Tin. Her car is the Stallion Gunter. She races on multilap races, not on point-to-point races. She loves to play with Miiko and her friends also.

2. Momoko Asakura = a young childhood sister of Ryoko. She has the same attitude to Ryoko, who drives a Stallion Thunder. She plays with Miiko on holidays.

3. Atsushi Fujiwara = another racer, who drives the Ultra Tiger. He dates Ryoko Asakura, which makes Momoko to admire him. He nicknames Miiko as the “WRX STI emperor”, which was actually her ailment.

4. Ryouta Yamanaka = a street racer, who makes money by winning illegal Race Tin parties. He drives the Mass Destructor. He has a rivalry to Itsuya Yoshida. He is a racer being sacrificed of Takashi’s bullying.

5. Martha Sparks = a street party maker, who makes money by racing. She is an opposite of Mari. Her car in the Race Tin is the Hyper Tyrannosaurus.

6. Yuuri Katsura = an opposite of Yukko. She drives the White Ribbon, which copies the car with different body parts, and renamed this version, White Flower. White flower is Yuuri’s car, while Yukko gets White Ribbon. While Yukko is caring and sweet, Yuuri is sarcastic and wild.

7. Michael Dobson = a racer from a rich businessman, who sends him to Japan for his single life. He makes money by winning races with his Jupiter Prelude.

8. David Johnson = another Race Tin player, who wins races with his Turbo Prejudice. David gets kidnapped by a greedy woman, Dewi Gelap. When Dewi Gelap held him, he is treated as a servant, like other poor children. He is on the run and Dewi Gelap hunts for him, and will torture him if he is found. David was from Jakarta. His mother tries to find and rescue him and he makes money to survive and find his Mother.

9. Andrew Morris = a street racer, who finds David in an old hut. He takes care of David, but he was looking for his parents, because they run away and did not admit that he is their son. His parents were Indonesian invaders, while he is a British. His parents were Islamic, but he was Catholic. When he found his parents, they mock him and lied that their son died. Miiko and her parents saw what they had done to their own son, and David prays to God to punish his wicked parents. When his parents try to escape instead of to apologize, they were turned into stone. This is a punishment for them who don’t admit their son and for killing rich families. By the way, his car is Dark Storm.

10. Lewis Rogers = an American kid, who helps people around him, even if he looks unfriendly. He can make friends with everyone, mainly Miiko, because he was saved by her from getting taken out by his stepmother and stepsisters, who treats him worse and commands him to do house chores. His car is the Dirt Roadster.

11. Akira Ogawa = the person who creates the street RC racing party. He was kidnapped by an evil woman, Dewi Anisa, who is from Yogya. She treats poor children badly and makes them to get money in the red traffic lights, but not Akira. He gets money by his easy jobs in fact that is Race Tin. His car is Fire Eillz, like Dark Eillz.

12. Yuuji Katsura = Yuuri’s oldest brother. He drives the Black Driver. The car is different than the White Flower. He does the street racing like Miiko. Black Driver is an aggressive Subaru Impreza WRX STI.

13. Yoshiro Yamada = a twin of Miiko but he is male. He drives the Wild Ninja, also an Impreza WRX STI.

14. Daijiro Sudou = a Race Tin rider, who spends his time for his daily needs and his money earning by racing with his Street Roller. He gets lost since he was young because his stepmother throws him when he tries to find his parents. His parents’ ailments are poor couples, because their things were stolen by the stepmother. When he was lost in the woods, an RC car is found and leads him back to Tokyo. When he is on an adventure to find his mother, he will have to live with Miiko. Miiko tells him that she has her own house full of winner’s awards. When he found his parents he was happy, and his younger sister, 3 years old, named Maika Sudou (Not a Race Tin Rider) was happy.
