The Knesset Christian Allies Caucus is a caucus within the Israeli Knesset that seeks to build a direct line of communication, cooperation and coordination between the Knesset and Christian leaders around the world.
- Josh Reinstein, Director
- David Rotem, Chairman, Member of Knesset
Launched in 2004, Knesset Christian Allies Caucus inspired a network of Israel Allies Caucuses in parliaments worldwide. Today, the International Israel Allies Caucus Foundation serves as the umbrella organization helping coordinate the work of these various caucuses into a unified pro-Israel voice.
The Knesset Christian Allies Caucus has four goals:
1) To highlight the contribution of Christians in the US, Europe and worldwide to Israel's security needs and the welfare of the Jewish people.
2) To raise Israelis' awareness of Christian support for Jewish aspirations in the land of Israel.
3) To assist Israeli Christians with bureaucratic hurdles they may encounter.
4) To educate Christians about the Jewish state in order to mobilize support for Israel.
Famous quotes containing the words christian and/or allies:
“Consistency, madam, is the first of Christian duties.”
—Charlotte Brontë (18161855)
“They tell us that women can bring better things to pass by indirect influence. Try to persuade any man that he will have more weight, more influence, if he gives up his vote, allies himself with no party and relies on influence to achieve his ends! By all means let us use to the utmost whatever influence we have, but in all justice do not ask us to be content with this.”
—Mrs. William C. Gannett, U.S. suffragist. As quoted in History of Woman Suffrage, vol. 5, ch. 8, by Ida Husted Harper (1922)
