Kiwi (Dragon Ball)

Kiwi (Dragon Ball)

Frieza (フリーザ?), spelled as Freeza in the Japanese version, Freezer in English, French, Spanish and Italian version is a fictional character, a supervillain and the primary antagonist of the Namek and Frieza arc from the Dragon Ball franchise created by Akira Toriyama, who first introduced the character in his manga Dragon Ball, followed by its anime adaptation Dragon Ball Z. Frieza also appears in the television special Bardock: The Father of Goku, two Dragon Ball Z movies, the side story The Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans, and in Dragon Ball GT.

Despite not appearing until the manga's second half, Frieza is widely considered to be the most iconic antagonist from the series, due to effectively serving as the catalyst of most of the events depicted in the story, such as Goku's arrival on Earth and the entire Saiyan and Namek Sagas. At the time of his introduction, he is revered as the most powerful being in the entire universe, though his power is later outclassed by future villains such as Cell and Majin Buu. He is also directly responsible for the apparent murder of Goku's father, Bardock (though it is unknown if Goku's mother died in Planet Vegeta's destruction or prior) and the genocide of the Saiyan race, making him Goku's archenemy.
