On June 19, 2009 one week after the digital transition was completed, all of Journal's television stations (including KIVI) added or regained the -TV suffix. The station remained on its pre-transition digital signal on UHF channel 24 using PSIP to display its virtual channel as 6.1.
The stations digital is multiplexed. KIVI-TV offers Retro Television Network on its third subchannel.
