Kingston Transit - Rack and Roll

Rack and Roll

The current "Rack and Roll" system is used for bicycle transportation. If a customer wishes to bring a bicycle onto the bus, a pull-down rack is located at the outside front of the bus. The rack can currently hold 2 bicycles. It involves 2 slots in which the bicycle's wheels fit in to. Then, a curved hook fits around the front tire to secure the bike from falling. Rack and Roll is unavailable during the winter.

Famous quotes containing the words rack and/or roll:

O, let him pass. He hates him
That would upon the rack of this tough world
    Stretch him out longer.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

The mode of clearing and planting is to fell the trees, and burn once what will burn, then cut them up into suitable lengths, roll into heaps, and burn again; then, with a hoe, plant potatoes where you can come at the ground between the stumps and charred logs; for a first crop the ashes suffice for manure, and no hoeing being necessary the first year. In the fall, cut, roll, and burn again, and so on, till the land is cleared; and soon it is ready for grain, and to be laid down.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
