Current Membership
As of 30 November 2012, there were 54 participants in the KPCS representing 80 countries, with the European Union counting as a single participant. The participants include all major rough diamond producing, exporting and importing countries. Burkina Faso, Mali, Gabon, Kenya, Mauritania, Zambia, Cape Verde, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Bahrain, Qatar, Algeria, Egypt, Kuwait, Philippines, and Tunisia have been mentioned as possible future participants. Cameroon was admitted as a participant in August 2012. Kazakhstan, Panama, and Cambodia were admitted as participants in November 2012.
