Kilmarnock Station Clock

Outside of the railway station, a clock is operated by East Ayrshire Council and ScotRail. In 2011, the clock received a grant from the Railway Heritage Trust to under-go a regeneration scheme that began in late 2011 and was completed in March 2012.

Famous quotes containing the words station and/or clock:

With boys you always know where you stand. Right in the path of a hurricane. It’s all there. The fruit flies hovering over their waste can, the hamster trying to escape to cleaner air, the bedrooms decorated in Early Bus Station Restroom.
    Erma Bombeck (20th century)

    The clock runs down
    timeless and still.
The days and nights turn hours to years
and water in a gutter marks the circle of another world
    hating, resentful, and afraid
stagnant, and green, and full of slimy things.
    Margaret Abigail Walker (b. 1915)
