The Station Today
In 2011 track north of the two platforms were lifted, and filled in with platform. This provides a direct level link to Platform 2 as the Footbridge was difficult to climb during cold weather. This creates a layout similar to Howth railway station and abolished the runaround facility.
The station building is in the old cargo shed, and is equipped with
- 1 TVM
- A ticket office
- A now defunct FasTrack office
- A small shop
- Toilets
It is fully accessible with a ramp from outside.
Bus Éireann services 007 and 073 stop outside the station.

Famous quotes containing the words station and/or today:
“Say first, of God above, or Man below,
What can we reason, but from what we know?
Of Man what see we, but his station here,
From which to reason, or to which refer?
Thro worlds unnumberd tho the God be known,
Tis ours to trace him only in our own.
”
—Alexander Pope (16881744)
“Working women today are trying to achieve in the work world what men have achieved all alongbut men have always had the help of a woman at home who took care of all the other details of living! Today the working woman is also that woman at home, and without support services in the workplace and a respect for the work women do within and outside the home, the attempt to do both is taking its tollon women, on men, and on our children.”
—Jeanne Elium (20th century)
