Khalid Hassanali

Khalid Hassanali, son of former President of Trinidad and Tobago, Noor Hassanali, is a Vice-President for Corporate Administrative Services at Petrotrin, the Petroleum Company of Trinidad and Tobago (a state-owned oil company). He is currently on secondment (assignment) as President/CEO of Evolving TecKnologies and Enterprise Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago (eTecK), another state-owned venture that is responsible for the industrial development of the non-energy sector of Trinidad and Tobago. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of the Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago. Hassanali is also a member of the board of the following: the National Institute of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (NIHERST), the Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Co (PLIPDECO), Metal Industries Company (MIC)and ANSA McAL Chemicals Ltd. He is a former 1st Vice President of the South Trinidad Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Hassanali has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the West Indies, a Master of Science in Systems Planning and Optimisation from the University of London and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London. He completed his secondary schooling at Queen's Royal College in Port of Spain. He has three children, Behzad, Faria Hassanali-Badaloo, and Aadam.
