In addition to local programming, the station also carries a few nationally syndicated talk shows, including Coast to Coast AM.
KFGO was formerly the radio home of Ed Schultz, and at one time, carried both his local/regionally syndicated News and Views and the national version of The Ed Schultz Show. North Dakota politician Joel Heitkamp hosts a local weekday show in the former News and Views time slot. Schultz is no longer heard on KFGO.
Sister station KRWK will switch to a separately programmed talk station on March 19, 2012. It will be known as KFGO-FM 101.9 Talk FM.
