Career
Schmidt first came to prominence in various movie roles, including playing Henry Baker in Cheaper by the Dozen and its sequel. Schmidt was hired to play Noah Newman on The Young and the Restless, first appearing on August 13, 2008. Schmidt was a part of the cast of TBS's untitled Dave Caplan comedy pilot starring Valerie Bertinelli, but the show was never picked up. He also played Bull in Disney Channel's television movie, Princess Protection Program which also stars Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez. In addition, he helped direct Alyson Stoner's The Alyson Stoner Project.
Schmidt acts in and is one of the producers for the web series Poor Paul. He plays Justin—a roommate of Paul—and directed several episodes of the series.
In June 2010, the Cartoon Network show Unnatural History debuted, starring Schmidt playing the role of Henry Griffin.
In August 2012, Kevin Schmidt announced on his Twitter, that he will no longer be portraying Noah Newman on the Young and the Restless due to the decision to recast the role.
