Before the O'Donnell's joined the Peace Corps administrative staff in Korea, they adopted each other's children. "She helped to make you feel good about yourself and that no problem could not be solved by simply doing what you do and being yourself," added Maura.

O'Donnell was the father of science fiction writer Kevin O'Donnell, Jr, who died on November 7, 2012.

Famous quotes containing the words personal and/or life:

Picture the prince, such as most of them are today: a man ignorant of the law, well-nigh an enemy to his people’s advantage, while intent on his personal convenience, a dedicated voluptuary, a hater of learning, freedom and truth, without a thought for the interests of his country, and measuring everything in terms of his own profit and desires.
    Desiderius Erasmus (c. 1466–1536)

True Shandeism, think what you will against it, opens the heart and lungs, and like all those affections which partake of its nature, it forces the blood and other vital fluids of the body to run freely thro’ its channels, and makes the wheel of life run long and chearfully round.
    Laurence Sterne (1713–1768)
