Kevin Heffernan (Gaelic Footballer)

Kevin Heffernan (born 20 August 1929) is a former Irish sportsperson. He played Gaelic football with the Dublin senior inter-county team in the 1940s and 1950s. He later served as manager of the Dublin senior footballers in the 1970s and 1980s. Heffernan is regarded as one of the greatest players and managers of all-time - and has been credited with helping to save the GAA in the 1970s.
