Kevin Duckworth - Decline and Retirement

Decline and Retirement

Duckworth's production began to slip in 1991-92. At the end of 1992-93, Duckworth was traded to the Washington Bullets for forward Harvey Grant.

Duckworth played four more seasons in the NBA, two for the Bullets, one for the Milwaukee Bucks, missing most of that season due to injuries, and one for the Los Angeles Clippers (1996-97), after which he retired from professional basketball.

Famous quotes containing the words decline and, decline and/or retirement:

Our achievements speak for themselves. What we have to keep track of are our failures, discouragements, and doubts. We tend to forget the past difficulties, the many false starts, and the painful groping. We see our past achievements as the end result of a clean forward thrust, and our present difficulties as signs of decline and decay.
    Eric Hoffer (1902–1983)

I rather think the cinema will die. Look at the energy being exerted to revive it—yesterday it was color, today three dimensions. I don’t give it forty years more. Witness the decline of conversation. Only the Irish have remained incomparable conversationalists, maybe because technical progress has passed them by.
    Orson Welles (1915–1984)

Convent. A place of retirement for women who wish for leisure to meditate upon the sin of idleness.
    Ambrose Bierce (1842–1914)
