Born on March 24, 1977 in Binghamton, NY, internationally known producer, singer, songwriter, musician Kevin DeClue, with over six million units sold, has made his mark in the music industry. Since the age of 11, DeClue has been working towards what is now one of the most successful transformations from the old industry into the cyber media industry it is today. Kevin DeClue got his break developing, producing, and writing with Hilary Duff and has maintained a large presence in the industry, writing for and developing countless acts such as the Clique Girlz (Interscope), Chantelle Paige (Convict/Universal), Jewel and Blaire (Sony A.T.V.), and Lindsey Ray (Epic).

Soon after working with Hilary Duff, Kara DioGuardi asked to sing on Kevin’s personal project, Thief. As this was transpiring, a young songwriter by the name of Patrik Berger (2011 Grammy nominee), was signed to Kara's label. Kara requested that Patrik join in writing sessions with Kevin. Kevin was soon writing with (2011 Grammy nominee) artist Robyn. Kevin also began working with video producer Chris Applebaum, Rihanna (Umbrella) and started business relationships with the likes of Bob Cavallo, Jay Landers, David Massey, Joel Weinstein, and countless others. As success moved forward, Kevin DeClue joined forces with Emmy and Grammy Award winning Joel Soyffer and major producer/songwriter Andre Cymone. Kevin’s next phase was the creation of his own fully faceted entertainment company, Way Up Records. Housing the labels catalog with publisher Anthony Barlow sealed the deal. The labels first artist, Stazz, a ground breaking talent that has already penned a successful publishing deal, will be releasing her recordings in the spring as well as touring throughout the summer.

Kevin DeClue's catalog not only includes co-writes with Kara DioGuardi and Hilary Duff, but also with Jamie Houston, Holly Knight, Jim Marr, Charlie Midnight, and Errol "Poppi" McCalla, just to name a few. Kevin’s list of clients includes Disney/Hollywood, Barbarian/Universal, Stonehall/Capitol, Island/Def Jam, Columbia/Nickelodeon, and Fintage Music.

In 2011, after writing together for years, Kevin DeClue dropped everything and decided to work exclusively with up-and-coming country artist Jenna Jentry. Her album 'Good As Gold', which they penned together, is due out in August 2012.

Kevin DeClue is a great advocate of keeping music alive in the schools. DeClue also specializes in artist development for the youth with extensive experience in vocal training, acting, management, guitar, bass, and drums. DeClue states, "With all this knowledge, and now being a father myself, I wanted to help children understand all aspects of the music business as well as enjoy the quality of life music can bring into our own lives. With the arts depleting in our public school systems, I feel it is my duty to share what I can about the wonderful world of music." Kevin DeClue is also part of a Christian Foundation that sponsors children in need. As of now, he has one sponsor child and hopes for many more.

Famous quotes containing the words kevin and/or clue:

Well, on the official record you’re my son. But on this post you’re just another trooper. You heard me tell the recruits what I need from them. Twice that I will expect from you.... You’ve chosen my way of life. I hope you have the guts enough to endure it. But put outa your mind any romantic ideas that it’s a way to glory. It’s a life of suffering and of hardship and uncompromising devotion to your oath and your duty.
—James Kevin McGuinness, and John Ford. Lt. Col. Kirby Yorke (John Wayne)

The mystery of the evening-star brilliant in silence and distance between the downward-surging plunge of the sun and the vast, hollow seething of inpouring night. The magnificence of the watchful morning-star, that watches between the night and the day, the gleaming clue to the two opposites.
