Charity Work

In 2004, Dalglish and his wife founded the charity The Marina Dalglish Appeal to raise money to help treat cancer. Dalglish has participated in a number of events to raise money for the charity, including a replay of the 1986 FA Cup Final. Famous quotes containing the words charity and/or work:

When a sparrow sips in the river, the water doesn’t recede. Giving charity does not deplete wealth. Saint Kabir says so.
Punjabi proverb, trans. by Gurinder Singh Mann.

They [parents] can help the children work out schedules for homework, play, and television that minimize the conflicts involved in what to do first. They can offer moral support and encouragement to persist, to try again, to struggle for understanding and mastery. And they can share a child’s pleasure in mastery and accomplishment. But they must not do the job for the children.
    Dorothy H. Cohen (20th century)
