State Representative
As a member of the Illinois House of Representatives, Dunkin serves on seven committees: International Trade & Commerce, Financial Institutions, Insurance, Mass Transit, Appropriations-High Education, Telecommunications, and Chairman of Tourism and Conventions. Dunkin is also a member of the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus.
He sponsored HB 0687, which would require Illinois gun owners to purchase $1,000,000 liability insurance. The bill is on its second reading in the Illinois General Assembly and is being debated.
