Kendriya Vidyalaya - Moral Education

Moral Education

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangatha (KVS) has directed 931 Kendriya Vidyalayas in 18 regions across the country to introduce the Integrity Club, which was first introduced on a pilot basis in New Delhi in Kendriya Vidyalaya Rangpuri AAI in October 2008. Some values highlighted are love, compassion, respect, and non-violence.

From the year 2010 students are analysed under the Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) to give out better results. CCE is a new pattern of study for CBSE board students, to identify the social skills of the students and improve the motivation of students about their studies.

Famous quotes containing the words moral and/or education:

Neither moral relations nor the moral law can swing in vacuo. Their only habitat can be a mind which feels them; and no world composed of merely physical facts can possibly be a world to which ethical propositions apply.
    William James (1842–1910)

The proper aim of education is to promote significant learning. Significant learning entails development. Development means successively asking broader and deeper questions of the relationship between oneself and the world. This is as true for first graders as graduate students, for fledging artists as graying accountants.
    Laurent A. Daloz (20th century)
