Anderson has three children, a son Matt, and daughters Megan and Molly. He is retired ,and he and his wife Cristy live in Hilton Head, South Carolina. While attending Augustana, he received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mathematics and later attended Salmon P. Chase College of Law - Northern Kentucky University and received a law degree in 1981. He is licensed to practice law in Ohio and Kentucky.
