Charitable Work
Alexander was involved in supporting a number of charities. In Saint Lucia, the country Alexander represented in his playing days, he established the Sacred Sports Foundation www.sacredsportsinc.com to help increase sporting opportunities for St Lucian children. The Foundation continues to thrive under the stewardship of his brother Delroy and sister Nova, which have continued to build on the legacy started by Keith. The Sacred Sports Foundation has received grants from the European Union, Australia Government and UNESCO, for a range of sports development and education programmes. The Foundation also has a partnership with the St. Lucia Football Association www.saintluciafa.com.

Famous quotes containing the words charitable and/or work:
“Family ... the home of all social evil, a charitable institution for comfortable women, an anchorage for house-fathers, and a hell for children.”
—J. August Strindberg (1849–1912)
“So it is with books, for the most part: they work no redemption on us. The bookseller might certainly know that his customers are in no respect better for the purchase and consumption of his wares. The volume is dear at a dollar, and after to reading to weariness the lettered backs, we leave the shop with a sigh, and learn, as I did without surprise of a surly bank director, that in bank parlors they estimate all stocks of this kind as rubbish.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
