Kaunas Airport - Terminal Building

Terminal Building

At the time of moving Kaunas airport to its new location in KarmÄ—lava in 1988, it was only a small terminal building for passengers. A new terminal for passengers (3 floors, 7,573 m2 (81,520 sq ft), 12 modern check-in desks) was opened in March 2008. It was designed to handle up to 800 thousand passengers per year and comply with the requirements of the Schengen Agreement. Further terminal extension is planned up to 15,000 m2 (160,000 sq ft) with 3 million annual passenger throughput.

    —W.H. (Wystan Hugh)

People do not know the natural infirmity of their mind: it does nothing but ferret and quest, and keeps incessantly whirling around, building up and becoming entangled in its own work, like our silkworms, and is suffocated in it: a mouse in a pitch barrel.
    Michel de Montaigne (1533–1592)
