Thungani Pudhu Karrupu
Thungani Pudhu Karrupu Swamy is located near Ranjankudi Fort which is 17 km north of Perambalur and 8 km south of Tholudur. Stories about the festivals and functions happening over there goes on over the last two generations through word of mouth. It was told that during one of these main functions when the Priest(Pujari)threw the offerings high in the air they never returned back to the ground. The Diety Puthu Karrupu is also called the Vetty Karuppu (Head Harvester). More interesting stories available at the temple.
