Bengali Calendar

Kartika (কার্ত্তিক Kartik) is the seventh month of the Bengali Calendar used in Bangladesh and eastern India. It begins in mid-October of the Gregorian calendar. The name of the month is derived from the name of the star Krittika (কৃত্তিকা).
